Sophie has three main kinds of resources defined by their scope:

 * Remote - the resource in the Sophie server or anywhere on the Internet

 * Local - link to somewhere; for example, a DVD associated with a desktop's workspace

 * Embedded - local for the user's current book

 * Scope indication is given for each resource in listings.
