= 1. Working with Sophie Server =

Sophie Server allows you to share and download Sophie books through a webpage. Sophie Server is an application that can be deployed on any web server allowing the creation of a social network of Sophie books and users.

Not all Sophie Server functionality is currently implemented: it should be recognized that in this release, Sophie Server exists for demonstration purposes only. The demonstration Sophie Server can be visited [http://sophie2.org:8003/login.jsp here]; or, you can run your own copy of Sophie Server using the instructions [wiki:ITERATION_11/Release/UserDocumentation/SophieServer/02_AdministeringSophieServer here].

Note that Sophie Server is particularly limited at this point by the lack of ability to upload books. For this reason, each Sophie Server installation comes with two books for demonstration purposes.
