4.2. Chaining text frames

Text frames also have a chain halo at the bottom right corner of the frame. Clicking on it opens the chain HUD, which looks like this.

The drop-down menu will allow you to set the frame's chaining options. There are three types: off, autochain, and to another frame. By default, this is set to "off". If you select another frame, text will flow from the first frame to the second frame when there's no more room in the first frame. When a frame is chained to another frame, the chain halo turns into the unchain halo:

When this halo is clicked, the frame is unchained from the frame it was chained to; the chain HUD can be used to select another frame to chain.

If you select the autochain option, Sophie will automatically create new pages that contain frames chained to the current frames for the whole text. The new frames will have the same properties as the current frame.
