• According to me the analysis is not clear enough.
• Also these things cannot be done in a single week(especially in what is left of it)
• It is more suitable to make a good overal design synchronized with GROUP_BOOK_MODEL_REDESIGN_R0
• Also to have a schecule for this design's implementation in the upcoming weeks(there are 2 of them left)
• "Current things" is unclear to an unfamiiliar reader
• It is important to point that this design should fully take care of the idea of opened document windows and not books or documents
• It should take care of connected document windows(for example a script that is part of a book is opened for editing in a separate document window and when the book gets closed the the script window(s) should be closed too)
• "single document workarea" is something very strange. The idea is that we should have SDI for Sophie2 reader
• I am not sure whether it really is in the scope of this part of the redesign, but I thing our flaps/tabs/palettes really need to be improved. Especially the palettes haven't changed for almost one year
• It would be good to decide where will the halos be attached. Is it really needed to have a separate set of halos for each work area?
• We use work areas for preview, printing, pdf export. These work areas don't need any halos. Perhaps some redistribution of work areas should be considered too.
• It may be be(or may not be) sensible to have some common notion of document view for the desktop application and the server application - perhaps resource and server guys could help on that
• The LogicR3 thing you mentioned is really important.
• Perhaps some of these are more or less design ideas, bu certainly are topics to be considered in the GUI redesign.
• I accept its splitting, but the separate tasks should be done with a good synchron between them.
• Please make tasks with as much reallistic required result as possible in order to have some weekly boxing.
