There are some unclear things:
- Once a format has been defined, it should not be altered (this is related to backwards compatibility). Therefore if you want to extend a format, you should create a new format and register it (instead of just adding more things to the format). In this train of thought, it is inappropriate to talk about extensions of a format.
- The bullet "create a registry class for the formats, it should be one for every instance of Sophie 2.0." is unclear - what instances are you talking about?
