3.5. Setting margins and padding
Margins are extra space that appear around the outside of a frame. If a picture is appearing above a text frame, for example, you might want the text to flow around the picture; if you want a little extra space around the picture so the text doesn't run right into it, you should increase the margins on the picture frame.
Padding is extra space between the frame and the text inside of it. If you have a border on your frame and you want your text to be inset inside the frame so there's space between the text and the border of the frame, you should increase the padding on your frame.
To change the values of margins or padding in this version of Sophie, you can use the Insets section of the frame properties HUD. It looks like this:
This gives you control over a single value which will be used on all sides of the frame. If you want to set values for the margins and padding for the top, left, right, and bottom sides of any frame, click the blue arrows to show the insets options:
Here you can set any margin or padding value individually.
