Analysis

(Give as much as possible of the needed information for designing and implementing the task in the following sections.)

Overview

There are no new posts in the maillist for the previous two iterations. So we must create at least one post containing information about our progress during the eighth and ninth iterations.

Task requirements

Create post for the previous iterations which contains:

  • Information from the retrospections
    • What went well
    • What could be better
    • How to improve
  • Mention the team building during the eighth iteration and the discussions that were done
    • Demonstration
      • add link to the video
      • brief explanation what was demonstrated

Task result

The result of this task must be a mail sent to the maillist.

Implementation idea

  • Use the .mm files to collect information about the retrospections and etc. Complete this task in parallel with SCS_PROJECT_BLOG_R7.
  • Create sample content in the design phase and send it to Nick and Ludmil for recommendations.
  • Send the approved content during the implementation.

How to demo

Show the mail.

Design

Sample content of the post for the mail list. It was sent to Nick and Ludmil for recommendations

ITERATION_08 and ITERATION_09 Summaries

Today's report covers our last two Iterations. The team has been very busy
and very productive. During these Iterations, the team achieved many of its
goals and drastically advanced Sophie 2 capabilities. We released Alpha 3,
available for download at http://www.sophie2.org/users/downloads.html, and
we are now looking forward to our first beta version, scheduled for the 14th
of August. The new user interface will be included in this release.

We have posted two demo books, which can be found at:
http://sophie2.org/trac/wiki/ITERATION_10/Release/UserDocumentation/DemoBooks
and updated the user tutorials, available at:
http://sophie2.org/trac/wiki/ITERATION_10/Release/UserDocumentation/AnIntroductionToSophie

During the eighth Iteration, the team held a very productive two day seminar
at Panichishte, clarifying design ideas and planning integration. Several
new developers joined the team during this period.

A significant event during the ninth Iteration was a demonstration of the
Sophie 2 Alpha 2 release on the 2nd of July. Two videos of the demonstration
are available at:
http://asteasolutions.net/videos/2009-07-02%20Demo-VNC.avi and
http://asteasolutions.net/videos/2009-07-02%20Demo.avi .

Below are the results of our most recent retrospections.

 * New team members

What could be better:
 * Availability of the team members
 * Time management
